01 · The room
The Powder Room.
Both days, across Atlanta Pride weekend. The one piece we'd rather run inside your gates than beside them — and the only thing across these pages we're actually asking you for.
Where she goes when she needs ten minutes
Where does a sapphic woman go at a festival when she needs ten minutes? Not to leave — just to stop performing for a while.
That question is the Powder Room. We built the first one at NYC Pride in June and it ran all day.
Click through the plan.
The mirror wall
Good light and real mirrors — the thing every festival forgets — carrying affirmations written for sapphic women. Fit check, then read the wall. Somewhere to fix your face without queueing for a portaloo.
The styling closet
A stocked refresh station — blotting, setting spray, deodorant, hair ties, lint rollers, plasters, period products — and pieces to borrow if you want to feel different for ten minutes. Free, taken not asked for.
Water, electrolytes, fuel
Coconut water, spring water and the signature hydration mocktails, alongside protein-forward light bites. In Atlanta in October this is not a nice-to-have.
The community wall
Prompts people actually answer. What does community mean to you. What helped you find your people. It fills up by mid-afternoon and it is the best thing in the room.
Resources, unattended
Mental-health, sexual-health and LGBTQ+ resources on an open table. Free, no sign-up, nobody watching you take one. That last part is the whole design.
Somewhere to sit
Soft seating, low noise, no queue. The only thing being asked of you in here is nothing.
“Every woman knows the feeling of the door closing behind her. The noise drops. The performance drops. Whatever face you were holding for the room out there — you don't need it in here. This is the one place that was never built for the male gaze, and it never asked you to explain yourself.”
The Powder Room · She & HEREvery name in that plan is ours and travels with us — Mirror + MIRRHER, the Styling Closet, HerHydration. They exist across the whole weekend; the room is where they land inside your festival.
We build it, we stock it, we staff it across both days, and we take it down. What we'd need from you is a footprint big enough to sit down in. The Marketplace is the obvious home for it, but we'll take whatever shape you have — and if there's a say in where, near a gate the Dyke March comes back through.
And if there's no room inside this year, the room still happens. We'd run it at a partner venue within walking distance and credit you anyway. We're telling you that plainly because it should make this an easier yes, not a smaller one: nothing here is contingent on you finding space you don't have. We'd simply rather be in your footprint than beside it.
Thirty minutes with you and Steven, this week or next?
